- Clear the Clutter | Organize your business and gain the mental space to think clearly and act decisively. By the end of a year, "stuff" piles up. If you saw my office and desk right now, you'd run. After a while I can't think clearly. I pride myself in functioning in a certain amount of chaos, but it's time to clear the clutter! This might be organizing my laptop desktop with a relevant filing system for files and imagery or digitally storing those business cards that pile up after networking events. Whatever your clutter is, make time to clear it! Start fresh in the new year!
- Set Goals That Stick | Prioritize and define actionable objectives to make 2026 your most productive year yet. This year, my business strategy was created on a spreadsheet. I set goals like, increase my Instagram followers from abc to xyz by a certain date. Then, I revisited those benchmarks every month or so. Not only did this set a goal on paper, logging it allowed me to reflect on why I did or didn't reach my goal. This helped me to see how my actions or the situations around me impacted the achievements of my goals. I felt more accountable to myself, and it motivated me to want to hit those targets even more.
- Walk Away with Actionable Strategies | Learn hands-on tools for branding, marketing, and operations you can implement immediately. When I think of planning something, it's the how. When I think of a strategy, it's so much more. It includes the big-picture of what and why. When we build strategies for our business, we go deeper and understand the why behind our businesses. I can set a goal of increasing my Instagram followers, but why I should even focus on Instagram in the first place is part of a strategy. What if my audience was actually on TikTok? How do I even know this? These are all really important details of creating an actionable strategy.
- Recharge Your Vision | Reflect, reset, and reignite your passion for your business so you start the year motivated and focused. Do you ever have a rough day and feel like you need to shake off the negative energy? This is how I feel about my business strategy some days. I firmly believe that when we step away from the daily grind of business, which might be a night out with friends, a weekend road trip, or even a good night's rest, it can help us reflect, reset and reignite the passion we have for our business. Admittedly, I sometimes dread the thought of working on my business strategy, but once I'm in it I'm like, "Ok, this isn't so bad." When I actually sit down and think about what I've achieved over a period of time, it feels like progress and that recharges my vision.
However you decide to plan, no strategize your 2026, make it happen. Consistency is huge. When we are consistent, we follow through. When we are consistent, we notice patterns. When we are consistent, we might fall short. Yet, every time we are consistent, we continue to get closer to the target we want to achieve. That's a strategy.
